NHL schedule 2015: Struggling Kings head east to Boston

Two heavyweights will try to get back on track on Saturday.

There's nothing like an old foe to jump start your season.

At least, that's what the Los Angeles Kings will be hoping when they visit the Boston Bruins on Saturday. The two teams have each won the Stanley Cup in recent seasons while dominating the NHL along the way. Yet the Bruins and Kings have been awfully quiet halfway through this NHL season.

Los Angeles took down the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, ending a four-game losing streak in the process. Meanwhile, the Bruins are in the middle of an uptick, having won 12 of their last 13 games.

Here is a complete look at the schedule. All times are ET.

Premier League Week 23 schedule and scores

Oh, no big deal, just the top two teams squaring off.

The Premier League is back, though we didn't miss it quite as much as usual. While the league taking a week off for the FA Cup is usually extremely unwelcome, the cup entertained enough to satisfy the masses last weekend. Usually, the cup leaves a bitter taste in our mouths and we can't wait to get it out by watching some *real* football. This time, we hardly knew the Premier League was gone.

England's top flight has returned with a vengeance, too. This week features the biggest game of the year so far, and if it goes Chelsea's way, it'll be the last proper big game of the season. Jose Mourinho's side are threatening to run away with the title, and Manchester City need a result at Stamford Bridge to keep things interesting.

None of the other big sides are facing proper tests, but one of them will drop points while Southampton wins anyway, because this season is weird.

Hull City vs. Newcastle United

Saturday, 7:45 p.m. ET. TV: NBCSN (U.S.), BT Sport 1 (U.K.), TSN1 (Canada)

Steve Bruce has saved his job with a couple of wins since the holiday period, but he's still walking on eggshells. Hull City are 18th after two straight losses, and Bruce could be back on the hot seat again with a loss. Newcastle, meanwhile, are coasting through another lost midtable season.

Manchester United vs. Leicester City

Saturday, 10 a.m. ET. TV: NBCSN (U.S. - English), Mun2 (U.S. - Spanish), TSN4 (Canada)

On the current form of both sides, this shouldn't be much of a contest at all. Leicester have been poor lately, but the Red Devils will have their last match against the Foxes fresh in their mind. That was one of the shock results of the season -- Leciester won 5-3 after going down by two goals early.

Chelsea vs. Manchester City

Saturday, 12:30 p.m. ET. TV: NBCSN (U.S. - English), Mun2 (U.S. - Spanish), Sky Sports 1 (U.K.), Sportsnet One (Canada)

This is the big game of the weekend, and the biggest of the season so far. Neutrals will be rooting hard for Manchester City, just so there's still a title race to be interested in. Chelsea have a five-point lead on the Citizens, and we can more or less hand them the title if they grab all three points on Sunday.

Arsenal vs. Aston Villa

Sunday, 8:30 a.m. ET. TV: NBCSN (U.S. - English), Mun2 (U.S. - Spanish), Sky Sports 1 (U.K.), TSN1 (Canada)

We should never count out the possibility of a phantom awful Arsenal performance, but, uh, Aston Villa are pretty bad. It would be surprising if the Gunners didn't win comfortably.

Southampton vs. Swansea City

Sunday, 11 a.m. ET. TV: NBCSN (U.S.), Sportsnet World (Canada), Sky Sports 1 (U.K.)

After a very strong start to the season, Swansea City have come back to earth a bit. They haven't won in their last four matches and their goal differential is down in the negatives now, mostly thank to the savage beating they took from Chelsea. The Saints will be fairly big favorites at home, and are looking more and more like a real Champions League-caliber side as the season goes on.

Schedule (all times ET, scores updated as they come in)

Hull City vs. Newcastle United - Saturday, 7:45 a.m.

Manchester United vs. Leicester City - Saturday, 10 a.m.

Liverpool vs. West Ham United - Saturday, 10 a.m.

Crystal Palace vs. Everton - Saturday, 10 a.m.

Stoke City vs. Queens Park Rangers - Saturday, 10 a.m.

Sunderland vs. Burnley - Saturday, 10 a.m.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Tottenham Hotspur - Saturday, 10 a.m.

Chelsea vs. Manchester City - Saturday, 12:30 p.m.

Arsenal vs. Aston Villa - Sunday, 8:30 a.m.

Southampton vs. Swansea City - Sunday, 11 a.m.

PGA Tour pro completely whiffs embarrassing left-handed shot

A valiant effort from three-time major winner Padraig Harrington.

Tiger Woods was the worst golfer in the field at the Phoenix Open on Friday, but he may not have had the most embarrassing shot sequence. Woods skulled, chunked, and bladed chip shot after chip shot the last two days as if he were some over-the-hill high handicapper, but at least he never whiffed.

Padraig Harrington found himself in the unfortunate circumstance of being a right-handed golfer on Friday at TPC Scottsdale. So he tried to turn it around and pull off some sort of miracle. Instead, he just took out a chunk of turf and failed to move the ball.

Super Bowl Party tips for people who don't have friends

Forget about your ex-girlfriend Paula and use these tips to truly enjoy your Super Bowl, even if nobody is going to be there to enjoy it with you.

It's time for the Super Bowl, and you know what that means -- time for a Super Bowl party! Everybody's going to watch the Big Game, from rabid sports fans to people who only want to see the commercials and halftime show. The Super Bowl is as much a sporting event as an opportunity for all of America to share an experience together.

Unfortunately, you don't have anybody to share this experience with. After losing your ex-girlfriend Paula and her friend circle, you haven't been particularly sociable. Nobody invited you to their Super Bowl party -- not even on Facebook.

But that doesn't mean you can't have a great time watching the Super Bowl. Here are some tips on how to make your solo Super Bowl bash a solo Super Bowl smash!

Make a delicious dish!

A Super Bowl party is like a big potluck -- everybody brings their favorite football snack to create a smorgasbord of guilty pleasures, and you'd better impress!

Of course, you won't have anybody to impress, so why bother. But you still have to eat to sustain yourself, so here are some food items you could make:

Easy Mac

Ingredients

1 bowl of Easy Mac

The little packet of cheese that comes with the Easy Mac

Water

Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Put water in the Easy Mac

Put Easy Mac in the microwave for 3-4 minutes

Add cheese packet to Easy Mac

Stir until Easy Mac is cheesed

Add hot sauce to taste

Cup Noodles

Ingredients

1 Cup Noodles

Water

Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Boil water

Pour into Cup Noodles

Allow Cup Noodles to sit while the noodles become tender

Look at your ex-girlfriend Paula's Facebook page on your phone

Add hot sauce to taste

Pizza

Ingredients

Your phone

About 10-15 dollars

Instructions

Call your favorite pizza place

Try your best to sound like somebody else is eating the pizza, even though you know you're lying and the pizza guy doesn't even care

(Optional) Tell the pizza guy you're splitting the pie with your girlfriend even though Paula dumped you three months ago and the pizza guy seriously doesn't care

Order a pie

Give the pizza guy your address

Tell yourself you're only going to eat three slices

Pay the delivery guy money for the pizza

Eat five slices

Leave the remaining three slices sitting unrefrigerated in an open box on top of your stove until the cheese hardens and the crust becomes stale

Those hilarious commercials!

"Who had the best commercial?" That's what people at regular people Super Bowl parties will be talking about. Who liked which ads? The best will receive peals of laughter, and the worst will be greeted with silence and perhaps some jeers.

Of course, you won't have anybody to talk to. To best approximate the feel of a group deciding which ads are funniest, think really hard about which commercials your ex-girlfriend Paula would like the best. Which commercials would make Paula laugh? Which would make her say "what was up with that ad?!?!?!" Paula might not be with you right now, but at least your memories of her can help you judge which ads were funniest.

Know a thing or two about the game!

Is there anything worse than the one person at the party who keeps having to ask about the rules and the teams playing? Ugh! Why even watch the Super Bowl!

Luckily that person won't be at your Super Bowl party because you won't have a Super Bowl party. You're watching the game solely in order to watch the game, rather than out of some form of social obligation.

Don't wear anything that could possibly be interpreted as actual human clothing!

Nobody is going to see you, so just be comfortable. Possible combinations:

No shirt with pajama bottoms

White, stained t-shirt with boxers

Your ex-girlfriend Paula's hoodie with nothing else, because technically as long as you still own this hoodie you're still together, right

Katy Perry's halftime show!

Katy's going to come out and perform a slew of her enormous pop hits, a lot of which your ex-girlfriend Paula used to love.

Come to think of it, you probably shouldn't watch Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show! The best way for you to experience the Super Bowl halftime show is to listen to some of Katy's deeper cuts that won't remind you of Paula. How about "The One That Got Away?"

wait

wait that was a bad idea we didn't mean to suggest that

no

look, dude, look, we were joking about that one don't listen to it please

oh jeez

look you're a good guy, dude

look, man, it happens to the best of us sometimes this just happens to people we all go through rough patches

have you thought about using Tinder everybody's using Tinder, it's fun

yeah, we know, she made a huge mistake, I'm sure Paula knows that, I bet she's having a rough time too, she's probably going to have a terrible time at Luke's Super Bowl par-

yeah, Luke is having a Super Bowl party he invited everyo-- well, I mean, not everybody, just, like, a few people, like, really close friends, a few close friends

yeah, I'm going, but me and Luke are really cl-

I mean me and Luke are really close, how could I not go to his Super Bowl party? We go all the way back, plus, I told him I'd bring artichoke dip and if I don't there won't be any artichoke dip there

no you can't have any artichoke dip

Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayer Leverkusen: Time, TV schedule and game preview

Just like a computer loaded with viruses, Borussia Dortmund ended the first half of the Bundesliga glitchy and filled with errors. Now after being frozen for over month, they are finally able to reboot and start from scratch. Now they face the club where their downward spiral started, the ever-improving Bayer Leverkusen.

These two teams met at the beginning of the season, and it took nine seconds for Leverkusen to set Dortmund on a dark domestic path. Now the two clubs will rematch in the prime time slot in the opening weekend of the Rückrunde. With several key players on both teams injured and on international duty, the match may come down to who has the best personnel group out of the tunnel.

Both Leverkusen and Dortmund are very direct, which will make for a very end-to-end contest. As they try to remain relevant in the Bundesliga – Leverkusen fighting for a Champions League spot and Dortmund trying to work their way back up the table – three points for either side could go a long way.

Key Player: Marco Reus

If anyone is going to get Dortmund back on track, it will be Reus. The attacker missed much of the fall with various injuries, and Schwarzgelben sorely missed his finishing ability and his constant penetrating pace. His return will put the mediocre Leverkusen defense under a lot of pressure. He could be the one to find the breakthrough that Dortmund need on the road.

Key Matchup: Karim Bellarabi vs. Marcel Schmelzer

Bellarabi had a terrific fall, which he kicked off in Dortmund after a goal shortly after in the opening whistle of the first match between these two clubs. Bets are on him taking a little longer to get his first scoring chance, and the reason could be Schmelzer. The German international will get the green light from Klopp with Erik Durm on the shelf. The way he corrals the straight-lining Bellarabi could stall Leverkusen's progress going forward.

Bayer Leverkusen Injuries and Suspensions

Out: Tin Jedvaj (fiber tear), Robbie Kruse (Asian Cup), Son Heung Min (Asian Cup)

Borussia Dortmund Injuries and Suspensions

Out: Sven Bender (knee), Jannick Blaszczykowski (illness), Erik Durm (groin), Sebastian Kehl (shoulder), Mitchell Langerak (Asian Cup) In Doubt: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (return from African Cup of Nations), Ilkay Gündoğan (thigh), Shinji Kagawa (return from Asian Cup)

Projected Lineups

Leverkusen: Bernd Leno, Roberto Hilbert, Emir Spahić, Ömer Toprak, Wendell, Lars Bender, Ricardo Castro, Karim Bellarabi, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Josip Drmić, Stefan Kießling

Dortmund: Roman Weidenfeller, Łukasz Piszczek, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Mats Hummels, Marcel Schmelzer, Nuri Şahin, Ilkay Gündoğan, Kevin Kampl, Marco Reus, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Ciro Immobile

Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch La Liga online

La Real go for their second win over Real Madrid this season.

Real Madrid begins a busy eight day stretch that will see Los Blancos play three games, two without their best player. First up is a home match against Real Sociedad, a team that has quietly climbed up the table since David Moyes took over in November.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be available for Madrid after being sent off in their comeback win over Córdoba last week. Carlo Ancelotti has stated that Gareth Bale will take over Ronaldo's role, a move that has worked out well for Madrid so far. In the 11 matches that Bale has replaced the Portuguese striker, he's scored 11 goals and Madrid has won nine games. Ancelotti also said he plans to play James in a more forward role on the left side.

Moyes will no doubt have La Real believing they can upset Madrid, thanks in large part to their win over Barcelona at the beginning on January. Don't forget that they thumped Madrid 4-2 back in August as well, though both teams are quite different at this point. Going into the Bernabéu and getting a result won't be easy, but if La Real win, it'll be their first season sweep of Madrid since 2004.

Real Madrid injuries and suspensions

Out: Cristiano Ronaldo (suspended), Luka Modrić (hamstring).

Real Sociedad injuries and suspensions

Out: David Zurutuza (groin), Carlos Martinez (groin), Joseba Zaldua (ankle). In Doubt: Markel Bergara (unspecified).

Match Date/Time: Saturday, 10 a.m. local, 4 p.m. ET

Simon Despres becomes savior, then hero for Penguins in overtime win

The Penguins owe their win to their young defenseman.

Friday night should have been all about Cory Schneider. The New Jersey Devils netminder played brilliantly for most of three periods, keeping the Pittsburgh Penguins at bay while his team barely held on to a 1-0 lead.

But Penguins defenseman Simon Despres stole the narrative instead with two game-defining plays. The first came all the way back in the first period when the puck fell behind his netminder with Patrik Elias on the doorstep. Despres swept the puck out of harm's way at the last possible second to save an easy Devils goal.

depres1

It seemed insignificant at the time, but if Despres doesn't stop that puck from trickling in, the Penguins would be down two goals and couldn't have tied the game to send it to overtime. And if they couldn't do that, then Despres couldn't do this in sudden death.

depreswin

And that's how Simon Despres single-handedly stole Cory Schneider's thunder.
