  • Frontrunner Donald Trump is expected to again be the top target at CNN's debate in Florida tonight as the other three candidates attempt to blunt his momentum.
  • The debate is the last before Tuesday's five high-stakes state primary contests, including winner-takes-all Florida and Ohio, and the Northern Mariana Islands caucus
  • Senator Marco Rubio, who represents Florida, will be closely watched since his home state performance is considered crucial on Tuesday.
  • The debate, hosted by CNN, Salem Media Group, and the Washington Times, airs on the news network at 8:30 p.m. ET.

For Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, the debate at Miami Dade College is considered one of his last big chances to persuade voters to give him a must-need win on Tuesday. A defeat in his home state would be, for many, strong sign that his campaign is largely over.

Donald Trump, the frontrunner who has registered far ahead of Rubio in recent polls, will also no doubt be the prime target for rivals Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Ohio Gov. John Kasich has taken a lighter approach with Trump in the past.
