They're a Venezuelan treat that takes all the best things in life and puts 'em together.
(There's a Peruvian version, too, but let's focus on one gloriously cheesy snack at a time, shall we?)
Basically, tequeños are an elevated version of the humble cheese stick.
Bet some of you thought mozzarella sticks were the ultimate in cheese stickery, huh? You poor fools.
